5 O.C. - Starchild

A solid album from Brooklyn hip-hop vet O.C. was released and flew under the radar even though it's one of the best releases of the year. Soulful beats from Locsmif, DJ Revolution, Soul Supreme and Vanguard fit O.C.'s old school flow nicely, contributing to a sound reminiscent of guest Pharoahe Monch and fellow New Yorkers Nas and AZ. A slice of new hotness without the wack sauce, no doubt.
