31 Beck - Guero

And then there's Beck Hansen's record, a foot stomping mashup of his previous phases in a filler-free collection that stands equal to anything else in his catalog. Yearning for some whiteboy hip hop? Maybe a disco funk party? Or is the sad dreamlike acoustics of Sea Change more your kind of Beck? Guero has a bit of it all, and it never feels like a rehash of what's come before, just the focusing of a style that takes it all in and spits out sonic gems with alarming consistency.
